The Office of Administration Affairs within the Institutional Research Centre serves as a vital component responsible for managing and overseeing administrative functions essential to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the centre. The purpose of this office includes:
Administrative Coordination: Facilitating coordination and communication between different administrative units within the university.
Resource Management: Managing and optimising the use of IRC resources, including personnel, finances, and physical assets.
Policy Implementation: Implementing university policies and procedures related to administrative matters, ensuring compliance across various units.
Record-keeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records related to administrative processes, transactions, and decisions.
Workflow Optimization: Identifying opportunities to streamline administrative workflows and processes for increased efficiency.
Personnel Administration: Overseeing personnel matters such as staff assignments, job descriptions, and supporting human resources functions within the directorate.
Administrative Reporting: Compiling and generating reports on administrative activities and key performance indicators for the Institutional Research Centre.
Roles and responsibilities of key personnel:
Director: Oversees the overall functioning of the IRC, ensures compliance with quality standards, and drives strategic initiatives.
Research Analysts: Conduct data analysis, prepare reports, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Statistician Officer: Designs and applies statistical methodologies for research and institutional analysis, interprets data trends, and provides quantitative insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
IT Officer: Develops and maintains the data pipeline infrastructure, ensures the security and accessibility of data systems, and supports the integration of digital tools to enhance operational efficiency and research capabilities.
Administrative Staff: Provide logistical and clerical support to maintain smooth operations within the centre.
